Shirodhara popularly known as third eye treatment of Lord Shiva is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves pouring herbal oil, medicated milk or herbal decoction gently and steadily over the forehead in a continous stream using a special rhythmic swaying movement for about 45 minutes or so. This results in a great sense of deep relaxation and inner tranquility.
It works on cerebral system and helps in relaxing the nervous system and balancing the Prana Vayu around the head.

The word Abhyangam, a Sanskrit word literally means oil application all over the body. It is about 5000 years old Ayurveda therapy where oil is literally applied using smooth gentle strokes to rub the oil deep into the body. The classical ayurveda texts recommended abhyangam for each day to ensure good health and happiness.

Abhyangam is highly rejuvenating, improves vision, quality of sleep, complexation of skin, relieves fatigue and stress, and is anti ageing.

Patra Pinda Sweda (Elakizhi) is a therapy, wherein heated or oil fried herbal leaves are tied in a bolus (potli) and gently rubbed over the body to provide heat to the pain affected joints or body parts. Warm and cold boluses are continuously rubbed until the person perspires considerably.

This treatment is especially recommended for inflammatory conditions of bones and joints, chronic back pain, spondylitis and sports injuries. It is also used to cure sciatica, arthritis, sprains and cramps.

Kati Basti is an ayurvedic treatment for chronic back pain, lower back spasms, degenerative spondylosis, slip disc, lumber spondylosis, sciatica and other spinal problems. It is very safe, non-invasive and time tested green category procedure. After completing a course of 7 to 21 days one may not need any kind of oral medication. In this procedure dough of herbal powders is made and placed around the spine of lower back and warm medicated oil is poured and kept for a while to give a soothing experience.
